POSITION: Social Media Content Manager

About Scholars Backpack (SBP):

At Scholar’s Backpack, we help future students and workers by providing useful tools to reach their school and job objectives. We offer help with scholarships, free university fees, and expert advice on application documents like CVs, resumes, and personal statements. We’re here to make your path to success easier.

Our LinkedIn page is a place where we share chances for funding, educational tips, and career advice. We need a committed Social Media Content Manager to help us connect with and grow our audience.

What You’ll Do:

• Take care of and improve Scholar’s Backpack’s LinkedIn page by making and sharing interesting and helpful content.
• Look up and share details about scholarships, fee discounts, and ways to improve your skills for your career.
• Work together with the team to plan and carry out creative projects that match our goals.
• Create pictures and messages using tools like Canva, making sure they look good and match the SBP brand style.
• Keep an eye on comments and messages and reply to them to help build a lively online community.
• Look at LinkedIn performance data to improve plans and reach growth targets.
• Might handle one more social media platform later on.

Requirements and Abilities:

• Education: A bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Digital Media, or a similar area (or relevant work experience).
• Experience: Over 2 years of experience handling professional social media accounts, especially LinkedIn.

Technical Skills:

• Tools for planning and checking social media posts (like Hootsuite, Buffer, and Sprout Social).
• Graphic design tools (like Canva, Adobe Express, and Figma).
• Simple video editing programs (like CapCut, InShot, or Adobe Premiere Rush).
• Tools for working together (like Slack, Trello, Asana).
• Content and Research Skills: Skills for finding and understanding information.
• Good at finding and sharing reliable opportunities and resources.
• Strong writing and editing skills for making interesting and professional content.
• Understand how to improve content so that more people can find and see it.

Soft Skills: 

• Great at staying organized to handle many tasks and finish them on time.
• A logical way of looking at how well content is doing and finding ways to make it better.
• Being creative and able to change to meet what people want and what is popular.
