POSITION: IT and Accounting Specialist

Duties
- Manage and resolve issues with accounting systems and software (e.g., ERP, loan management systems, general ledger platforms).
- Assist with the month-end and year-end closing procedures, encompassing reconciliations and financial statements.
- Work with IT teams to carry out system enhancements, integrations, and data protection measures.
- Support the creation of budgets, projections, and financial analysis documents.
- Maintain data accuracy in the system by conducting regular audits and verification checks.
- Create user specifications and manage testing for improvements to finance-related systems.
- Offer training and assistance to users for accounting and reporting applications.
- Oversee adherence to financial regulations and internal IT procedures.
- Record IT and accounting processes, maintaining current documentation and preparedness for audits.
Competencies
- HND in Accounting, Information Technology, or a similar discipline
- Demonstrated experience in accounting and/or IT assistance positions.
- Expertise in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Deep knowledge of ERP systems and management of financial data
- Outstanding analytical abilities and a keen eye for detail
- Strong communication abilities for audiences with both technical and non-technical backgrounds.
- Capability to handle various priorities in a high-speed setting.
- Familiarity with data protection, cybersecurity standards, and financial compliance is advantageous.
