POSITION: Business Development Manager 

Overview

As a Business Development Manager, you will build and maintain excellent customer connections while meeting their needs. You must have great communication skills to deliver excellent customer service, establish trust and loyalty with clients, prospect for new commercial clients, and address any difficulties that may arise. You should also have good problem-solving skills to swiftly discover the best solutions to consumer difficulties.

Position Overview

You will be in charge of establishing new business within the Company’s designated strategic business groups (SBG). Identifies customer prospects to fill the sales funnel, and collaborates with existing and new clients to sell pest prevention products in the national commercial market. Client retention and Net Promoter Score (NPS) are important indicators that this job influences.

Job Responsibilities

  • Identifies national or regional account opportunities that are compatible with the company’s business model.
  • Identifies and cultivates relationships with decision-makers within the prospects’ organization.
  • Use the company’s CRM system to enter, update, and maintain prospect and client information.
  • Uses the company’s resources to build momentum and progress the prospect through the sales funnel to become an engaged client.
  • Develops strategic marketing solutions while understanding prospects’ corporate cultures. Sales presentations, contract discussions, and closing/signing with prospective clients are all possible strategies.
  • Assists with account implementation by understanding the technical and consultative parts of selling the Company’s service(s) and keeping all team members informed of any difficulties or actions that arise.
  • Attends client meetings on a regular basis, as well as quarterly business reviews, annual corporate reviews, and audits as specified in the agreement.
  • Establishes excellent communication and leadership roles, displaying the Company’s Team’s efforts to produce and deliver a high-quality product and service for our clients.
  • May engage with existing accounts to maintain client retention, promote growth through program upgrades, price increases, and other means, and answer any customer complaints.
  • Identifies business needs and opportunities for improved performance and growth through the use of firm operating systems or resources.
  • Expands sales within current accounts, prioritizes customer service, cultivates connections with key decision makers, recognizes and responds to customer needs, and tracks and monitors account activities.

Required Skill or Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a similar discipline is necessary, along with an equivalent mix of education and experience.
  • A Master’s degree is preferable.
  • 3–5 years of experience selling commercial services on a national or regional level
  • Demonstrated skills in business growth.
  • Strong bargaining and presentation skills.
  • Business and financial acumen
  • Strategic and inventive thinking talents
  • Project management, organization, multitasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Coaching and influencing skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Ability and desire to travel as needed for business units, including overnight stays.
  • Up to 40% travel is required.
  • Must be capable of obtaining and maintaining pest control licenses.
  • Must have a driver’s license.
