In Africa, Nutreco primarily engages in selling fish feed (under the Skretting brand) along with premixes, additives, concentrates, and specialized diets for animals (under the Trouw Nutrition brand).
Job Description
Are you an independent technical sales expert with a current network in the animal industry? Nutreco is seeking you! To enhance our efforts in sub-Saharan Africa, we seek to expand our team by recruiting a Technical Sales Advisor in Ghana. Trouw Nutrition takes pride in delivering exceptional service to its clients, farms, and consumers. You will join a group of dedicated and tightly interconnected experts advancing the field of animal nutrition. You will be an important contributor to our domestic and global teams.
Responsibilities
- Promote and assist in the sales of Trouw Nutrition’s complete range of products and services for every animal species (particularly poultry, swine, and dairy).
- Enhance assistance for distributors and final customers (mills, FAFER, and farmers);
- Conduct live workshops and agricultural tours;
- Acquire understanding of client requirements, rival businesses, and industry trends and advancements;
- Assist current and emerging enterprises.
- Assist with the yearly budget process and sales strategies;
- Place and monitor orders, encompassing ongoing credit oversight;
- Arrange and implement technical, marketing, administrative, and sales assistance and training.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree along with at least 4 years of experience in a business setting;
- Current network ideally in the livestock industry in Africa;
- Outstanding sales/technical/communication abilities;
- Capacity to function autonomously without constant oversight;
- Proficient in English and Asante Twi, and at ease collaborating in energetic teams.
You will be mostly self-sufficient. You will have specific tasks outlined for you, enabling you to determine the most effective way to reach your objectives. Your responsibilities will be split between technical and commercial goals. Thus, it is essential for you to achieve the appropriate equilibrium between business goals and technical contributions. As time passes, you’ll cultivate a strong bond with your customers, which will be a source of both business success and personal satisfaction.
Please be aware that the role is remote and involves travelling throughout Ghana.
