Job Overview:
The Talent Acquisition Officer is important for helping the company hire for different jobs. This person will work closely with department leaders to understand what they need and create good strategies for finding candidates. The best candidate will be good at finding qualified people, conducting interviews, and keeping in touch with potential hires for our clients.
Main Duties:
- Work with hiring managers to understand what they need and create clear job descriptions.
- Come up with new ways to find candidates using job boards, social media, networking events, and community involvement.
- Review resumes and applications and conduct initial phone interviews to check candidates’ qualifications.
- Set up interviews between candidates and hiring managers and help manage the interview process.
- Keep track of applicants using applicant tracking systems (ATS) to ensure accurate records are maintained throughout the hiring process.
- Build good relationships with candidates by giving them feedback during their application process.
- Promote the company as a good place to work and represent the company at job fairs or recruiting events when necessary.
- Track hiring metrics like time to fill and cost per hire to see how effective sourcing strategies are and report on areas for improvement.
- Stay updated on trends in recruiting and suggest ways to improve the hiring process.
Qualifications:
- Preferred: Advanced Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related field; relevant experience can replace education.
- Experience as a recruiter or talent acquisition specialist, preferably in a specific industry.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS).
- Good knowledge of employment laws and regulations related to hiring.
- Experience with travel procedures is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills—both spoken and written—and a strong ability to connect with others.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a busy environment while paying attention to details during candidate assessments.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience using data analytics tools is a plus.
