Job title: Cocoa Program Field Officer

This role supports the deployment of Mars’s Supplier Development and Assurance program within the Cote d’Ivoire operational unit, with the purpose of developing the capacity of cocoa Suppliers and partners including their Cooperative and farmer members and partners to deliver high quality sustainability programming.

Also, This role is accountable for the (i) the operational field Assurance exercise in CdI including the collection of field program data from farmers, Cooperatives and cocoa Suppliers, (ii) the smooth implementation of Supplier development program deployment.

The role is responsible for the provision of high quality, high integrity data and information, gathered at field level, into the SDA reporting framework and for the subsequent field level engagement with Suppliers in the roll-out of each Supplier’s development program and annual workplan.

• Then, Location – ability to work in upcountry field locations as well as Abidjan office
• Lastly, Integrity & Trust – Must have confidence of internal and external stakeholders, and be able to correctly handle sensitive information

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Firstly, Engage with Mars’ cocoa supply chain participants, including farmers, Cooperatives and Suppliers.
• Secondly, Collect, assemble and present data from the field as part of annual Assurance exercise and on-going Supplier Development activities.
• Thirdly, Maintain up-to-date and accurate knowledge on the Responsible Cocoa Spec including reviews.
• Moreover, Maintain up-to-date and accurate knowledge on relevant Suppliers’ RCCP’s / proposals as well as individual program components.
• Furthermore, Assist in the planning and implementation of the annual Assurance field exercise.
• Additionally, Develop and manage annual workplans with Suppliers based on each Supplier Development Program as agreed by management.
• More so, Correctly escalate information or findings as directed by management, maintaining high levels of confidentiality.
• Afterwards, Present monthly activity and financial reports to line manager.
• Last but not least, Communicate and ensure compliance of all operating policies and/or issues.
• Finally, Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following and enforcing standards and procedures
