Lycopodium is looking for a Material Manager to join the Project team in Ahafo North, which is growing.
The Materials Manager will work with the Construction Manager to track, get, move, and store things and materials in a way that meets the needs of the Project, the Client, and the Company.
The things you’ll have to do
- Keep track of and handle all deliveries of equipment and materials for the Project
- Manage where all the equipment that needs “storage maintenance” is kept and keep a record of the work that was done.
- Manage how tools and materials are given to the Project EPCM Team and to the right Contractors.
- Be directly involved in getting all the tools from the Port to the Site in the country.
- Keep detailed records of how tools and materials are moved, signed for, and received.
- Interviewing vendors and going to their distribution centers and plants to look at prices, goods, and services and learn more about them.

- Choosing providers is based on how quickly their products and services are delivered, how much they cost, and how good they are.
- Lead the Materials Management Team and people who work directly for you.
- Solid technical skills, logical skills, and the ability to solve problems.
- Ability to work well without being told what to do and to regularly produce high-quality results.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to do more than one thing at once and set priorities with accuracy and efficiency.
