POSITION: Training Executive
The overall goal of Hotel Training is to ensure that the hotel is using both “off-line” and “online” learning tools provided by Kempinski to ensure that as a company, we are developing and growing talent within the organization, securing the hotel’s ability to deliver exceptional guest service and drive the hotel’s profitability for the owner.
A Hotel Training Executive’s overall responsibilities include assisting the training manager in accomplishing the aforementioned mission statement, while also preparing and developing for future training leadership or operational roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Help the Training Manager set up a training network under Kempinski standards.
- Assist the Training Manager in ensuring that all departments with corporately produced Training BITES have properly implemented them and that they reflect all hotel-specific rules and procedures.
- Implement the training marketing plan specified by the Training Manager.
- Support Kempinski’s DNA and brand immersion programs.
- Continuously seek and promote new techniques, practices, and processes that will increase the efficiency of the training services provided.
- Complete the Kempinski Experience Assessment (KEA) checks as directed by the hotel management.
- Identify potential training talent, then suggest and develop Master Trainer candidates.
- Assist the Training Manager in ensuring that the Kempinski Training Monthly report is completed accurately on a monthly basis and the results updated in the Regional
- Training Consolidation. Report
- Lead by example and promote Kempinski’s key values.
- Help to complete the Training Self Audit (using the Kempinski Training Peer & Self Audit Tool).
- Promote and implement Kempinski Corporate Training’s policies and procedures.
- Understand and carefully comply to the rules and regulations outlined in the staff handbook, as well as the hotel’s fire, cleanliness, and health and safety standards.
- Collaborates with local and international educational institutions to recruit and select students for internship opportunities at the hotel.
- Assists in creating the L&D schedule and sharing it with management to ensure that learning resources and opportunities are maximized.
- Participates and promotes sustainability in company projects and activities.
- Maintains contact with local hospitality institutions through events like guest lectures and site visits.
- Organizes the learning environment, course notes, attendance sheets, and any other resources needed for classroom learning programs.

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
- Tertiary education in a recognized institution.
- Specialization in Human Resource Development/Education is advantageous.
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience in the hospitality business.
- Facilitation and presentation skills for small and large group training sessions with colleagues at all levels are advantageous.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
- Oral and written English must be excellent.
- Strong communicator with presentation and influence skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with colleagues from other cultures and communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
- Driven and able to work independently and proactively in a dynamic workplace.
- Capability to contribute and collaborate effectively in a team.
- Creative and resourceful.
- Flexible and capable of embracing and effectively responding to change.
