To empower and train the students in our programs we are looking for a full-time IT leader. Grow Ghana is a grass roots NGO located in Kokrobite. Currently we are a team of two full-time employees and several (international) volunteers.
Our NGO supports young students in school with hands-on training in digital & soft skills. Using playful IT training, with a focus on coding, is ideal for unlocking & imparting vital skills and values in young students. The program is designed to supplement the school’s curriculum and instill values such as teamwork, critical thinking, and respect for the environment.
Main Responsibilities
- Conduct Training for JHS students
- Prepare and design computer-based coding training designed for the Raspberry Pi
- Prepare and design soft skill training
Other activities
- Supporting the content of Grow Ghana’s Social Media Channels
- Supporting and participating in (local) fundraising campaigns
- Guidance for our (international) volunteers
Job requirements:
- Excited to work with youths/ Commitment to the cause
- Computer knowledge (knowledge in Scratch is a plus)
- Teaching and presentation experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

- Working five (5) days a week, this may include Saturday and Sunday and based on a weekly scheduled calendar
- Living around Kasoa/Kokrobite with max. 30 minutes transportation time to Kokrobite
- Fluent in spoken and written English
What we offer
Our well-trained staff is supporting you during the training and the preparing of the lesson plans. After the probational phase you will be able to give training in the long-term. Through qualitative feedback we want to offer you the chance to improve yourself. We aim to impact wherever we go.
Salary per month: 1500ghs
