POSITION: Tender Manager – Oilfield Services and Equipment

The Tender Manager helps establish and execute commercial strategies for assigned territories and segments. This necessitates interacting with a diverse set of consumers and internal stakeholders for Early Engagement (EE) and Must Win (MW) OFSE and cross-PL possibilities, as well as strategic single-PL opportunities, as appropriate.

The Tender Manager will be accountable for:

  • Validating the risk-reward balance, taking into account terms and conditions, technological hazards, margins, and payment security.
  • Contributing to more granular pricing and conditions. Works with established contract pricing frameworks. Some freedom to stray from prices and terms.
  • Promoting BH’s business value propositions to customers and internal stakeholders, and creating a better customer experience through solution-based selling.
  • Assisting the Global OFSE HQ Early Engagement team with all regional EE opportunities and tenders Create and control the Commercial Proposal Summary / Project Financial Forecast for all deals requiring financial approval under ITO procedures.
  • Owning OFSE and cross-PL MW opportunities and tenders; collaborating with the Global OFSE HQ Commercial Operations team and the Global IS HQ Commercial Operations team on select projects.
  • Ensure comprehension of customer requirements to give the best technical and commercial solutions for all tenders/quotes; produce competitive technical and commercial outcomes with the lowest risk to BH and the highest profitability.

  • Collaboration with engineering, technology, supply chain, etc. to create product cost-out choices and additional profitability paths. Use standardization, information exchange, best practices, and customer intimacy to simplify contractual requirements and answers.

Fuel your passion

To succeed in this role, you must:

  • A bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or college.
  • Have at least 5 years of experience as a Proposals/Tender Manager.
  • Have solid experience in operations, sales, or proposals.
  • Have expertise with commercial tools, analytical systems, and platforms such as Deal Machine and Quote Machine/CPQ to achieve successful margin management and pricing execution.
  • Broad experience in the ITO process, project business, profit and loss management, and commercial discipline.
  • Collaboration among product businesses, regions, and functions.
  • Have extensive commercial operations experience, ideally in oil and gas or energy technology.
  • Work in a method that suits you.
