POSITION: E-commerce Manager
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
The e-commerce Manager is a critical thinker with an action-oriented mindset. You will be a major member of the Business team, focusing on eTranzact’s App Xcel’s e-commerce experience to become a vital destination for customers in the moments that matter. In this position, you will develop and enhance the sales strategy and strategies that drive revenue growth and market share increase on the e-commerce platform. This position necessitates a thorough understanding of the e-commerce market, consumer behaviour, and sales analytics to forecast trends, create sales goals, and find possibilities for sales optimization and growth.
You will influence this role by:
- Promote the Xcel App as a Super App with multiple features to increase user engagement.
- Collaborated with Product, Projects, and Marketing teams to optimize App experience for peak savings and seasonal events by centralizing product and reporting roadmaps and focusing on merchant onboarding and activation. You’ll accomplish this by overseeing important KPIs, audit mechanisms, and business reviews, and developing new, efficient procedures and play books.
- Telling a story through our App – You will identify critical trend forecasts and establish the team’s story-telling roadmap to improve the customer journey on our website, delivering a consistent story to win consumers’ hearts and minds.
- Monitoring app health and performance using analytics and key metrics-You will be in charge of developing app metrics and dashboards to monitor health and deliver strategic insights to internal stakeholders to impact the app’s overall direction.
- As a thought leader, you will collaborate with the DevOps, Products, and Project teams to identify and document new tooling or feature improvement requirements for the Marketing team, to drive automation, and scalability, and to reduce manual work hours.
- You will understand how customers shop online and apply strategic thinking and creativity to provide a seamless and innovative App experience to our customers
- You will be a visionary who is continuously searching for ways to differentiate Xcel and eTranzact from the competition by creating new and upgraded functionality that makes the purchasing experience easier and more convenient.
- You quickly create trust and can lead by influence rather than direct authority, making an impact via both partnership and ownership.

Key responsibilities:
Sales:
- Drive B2C sales by partnering with merchants, activating the Xcel App, and increasing active users and market penetration.
- Sales Plan Development: Create and maintain a thorough sales plan that is consistent with the company’s objectives and market prospects. This involves market analysis, customer segmentation, pricing strategies, and sales channel optimization.
- Sales forecasting involves using historical data, market trends, and sales analytics to properly predict sales performance. Regularly revise sales projections to reflect changing market circumstances and actual sales performance.
- Performance Analysis: Examine sales data to find trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Provide sales and marketing teams with actionable insights to help them perform better.
- Sales Process Optimization: Identify bottlenecks in the sales process and collaborate with relevant teams to streamline processes, increase efficiency, and boost customer satisfaction.
- Budget Management: Manage the sales budget to ensure that sales initiatives are cost-effective and generate a high return on investment. To stay on budget, keep track of your expenditures and make adjustments as needed.
- Team Leadership: Oversee and mentor a group of sales planners and analysts. Create a collaborative, results-driven workplace that promotes innovation and continual development.
- Reporting: Prepare and deliver regular sales performance, forecasts, and planning activities to top management. Use data to help make strategic decisions and changes to sales plans.
Marketing:
- Managed Xcel App marketing to boost user engagement and market penetration.
- Led the Communications and Digital Marketing team in promoting win-back campaigns for desirable lost customers based on calculated customer lifetime value (CLTV).
- Collaborate with product teams, PR, advertising, customer support, and other channels to create a calendar of key launch/event dates for marketing and sales of product lines.
- Continuously optimizes processes and procedures through A/B testing and user input to improve the app experience.
- Collaborates with other departments to provide a consistent omni-channel experience, including eTz B2B.
