POSITION: MFS Program Manager
About the Position
At Ericsson Mobile Financial Services (MFS), we promote financial inclusion using advanced technology. Our Ericsson Wallet Platform (EWP) enables telecom providers and financial institutions to deliver services such as peer-to-peer transfers, payments, disbursements, loans, and savings. The MFS Program Manager is crucial in directing extensive, intricate, multi-national professional services initiatives and guaranteeing smooth end-to-end execution.
You will assist Key Account Managers (KAMs) by providing technical insights and taking charge of overall cost estimation (Contract Fulfilment Responsible role), while also overseeing the delivery model (a blend of on-shore, near-shore, and offshore resources). This position is crucial for effective delivery, robust customer interaction, and ongoing service enhancement.
What You Will Accomplish
- Set up and uphold program/project baselines: outline work breakdown, define scope, acquire resources (primarily Project Managers), and oversee execution.
- Oversee numerous projects within the MFS cluster in different nations.
- Propel program implementation by monitoring advancement, addressing conflicts, and managing key problems.
- Oversee IT System Integration initiatives surpassing USD 50M, incorporating various technologies.
- Implement pan-African and multi-nation initiatives with cross-functional teams located in various regions.
- Actively participate in project execution leveraging knowledge in MFS, BSS, and Cloud.
- Comprehend the business and technical difficulties associated with MFS and system integration initiatives.
- Enhance project management practices through the development of innovative tools, techniques, and procedures.
- Enhance customer and partner involvement by establishing trust and promoting continuous cooperation.
- Foster robust C-level connections (IT, Engineering, Marketing, Finance); ensure daily visibility at customer locations as Ericsson’s primary representative.
- Handle escalations according to functional guidelines.
- Assist with pre-sales tasks and contract arrangements.
- Promote lead generation, up-selling, and funnel management across the engagement lifecycle.
- Guide team members, recognize potential, and assist in their growth.
- Adjust to regional traditions and guarantee adherence to Ericsson’s Code of Conduct and Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) guidelines.
- Having experience with global system integrators and automation is viewed as beneficial.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar discipline.
- 10–15 years of demonstrated expertise in Project Management in financial, banking, or IT integration services.
- Proven track record of overseeing extensive, intricate delivery initiatives.
- PMP or Prince2 certification (mandatory); Agile and DevOps (favorable).
- Practical leadership with effective delivery and stakeholder management abilities.
- Expertise in MFS, IT Systems Integration (APIs, etc.), and BSS.
- Robust financial and analytical abilities.
- Capacity to guide diverse, cross-departmental teams, promoting collaboration and peak performance.
- Strong grasp of OHS and a dedication to ethics and compliance.
