Job Title: Senior Category Executive
Overview
To set up and implement the Trade Marketing Business Plan for a given brand or category, as well as handle the execution of all necessary national and customized activities, in order to increase company sales and maximize profits by spending money wisely within these categories/brands.
Responsibilities
Relationship with Suppliers/Principals and Duties
- Prepares and keeps all custom reports up-to-date with the
- Keeps track of the sellers’ budgets and makes sure they are spent according to the trade plan.
Brand Management
- Puts the joint business plan for the brands into action so that efforts can be focused and sales for each brand can be increased.
- Uses the Marketing Plan to increase sales of the brand.
- Works with local companies to make sure that the brand marketing activities and in-store and point-of-sale (POS) materials are done well and that the brand image and equity goals are met.
- Analyzes brand sales data and market share trends and comes up with useful conclusions and insights so that the right marketing actions can be planned.
Communication with the Sales Team
- Tells the Sales team about the brand marketing plans and activities in a timely way so that these activities are carried out perfectly.
- Makes frequent visits to stores and tells management what he or she sees to make sure the brand strategy is being followed.
- Collects and knows the customer’s goals and plans from sales, then creates the brand plans that fit the customer’s goals to boost sales and get the customer’s support.
Category & Shopper Understanding
- Outlines how the brand’s category is changing so that the right actions can be planned. (Competitors, prices, range, hobbies, etc.)
- Collects information about shoppers’ needs, habits, and trends related to the given brand so that the right marketing activities can be made.

Qualifications
- BA Degree in Business Administration/Marketing
- Two to three years of experience in sales
- FMCG products are a must.
