Job Description.
A well-established hotel is looking for a hands-on Front Desk Manager.
The Front Desk Manager will report directly to the Managing Director and be in charge of the front desk’s day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate should be energetic and guest-focused.
The Front Desk Manager will help with the planning, direction, coordination, and execution of all operations and staff in the front office departments. He/she is in charge of ensuring that all front office activities are carried out professionally, to standards, and at the highest level of service, and will achieve desired results by assisting in the formation, growth, and maintenance of competent, motivated, and empowered employees.

In addition to front-office management responsibilities, the Front Desk Manager will be a member of the company’s management team. This would entail actively participating in strategic planning meetings and developing corporate policies.
Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Leadership / Mentoring function for hotel front-desk personnel. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all Front Office department policies and service practices.
- Provides quick, courteous, and efficient service to all clients, hence promoting great customer relations.
- Resolves client concerns in a way that fosters great customer relationships.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of all hotel amenities and services, including room types, pricing, special packages, and promotions, daily arrivals/departures/room availability, and scheduled in-house group events.
- Review and respond to daily operational demands pertaining to the hotel.
- Create and maintain a high-quality, professional work environment.
- Conduct performance reviews for all department personnel.
- Anticipate the demands of your guests and workers and answer swiftly.
Required Skill or Experience
- The successful applicant must have at least three years of experience and/or management training in Hotel Operations, including Front Desk Management, for a small to mid-size hotel.
- Strong computer abilities in Word, Excel, and property management software are essential.
- Experience managing OTAs will be a valuable asset. A suitable candidate must have outstanding written and verbal communication abilities, as well as a firm command of the English language.
