Responsibilities

As an Early Childhood Educator, you will:

  • Develop and implement a high-quality educational program aligned with the CEFA curriculum.
  • Create and maintain a safe, healthy, and welcoming environment for children.
  • Assess children’s abilities, interests, and needs, and communicate progress with parents and staff.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively, both in writing and verbally.
  • Be a supportive and engaged team member, open to feedback and guidance.
  • Help children develop self-help skills and foster their independence.
  • Build collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
  • Attend staff meetings and take part in professional development opportunities.
  • Work together to keep classroom materials organized and clean.
  • Maintain punctual attendance and dress professionally at all times.

Qualifications

To apply for this position, you need:

  • A valid BC ECE license.
  • Current Emergency First Aid & CPR-C certification.
  • Previous experience with CEFA or CEFA certification is an asset.

Education Requirements

  • Secondary School education preferred.
  • ECE License is mandatory.
