Prairie Grown Early Learning Centre is seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join its team in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, for a full-time temporary position running from February 2026 to November 2026. This role offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from CAD 15.56 to CAD 29.28 per hour and provides an excellent opportunity for qualified educators who are passionate about early childhood development and play-based learning.

While this position is not eligible for employer-sponsored immigration or SINP nomination, it may still be suitable for candidates who already hold valid Canadian work authorization or open work permits.

About the Role

This position focuses on delivering high-quality, child-centered early learning programs for children aged 18 months to kindergarten. You will play a critical role in supporting children’s physical, cognitive, emotional, social, and creative development in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.

The role emphasizes observation-led, play-based, and exploration-driven learning aligned with Saskatchewan Ministry of Education principles. You will work closely with fellow educators and families to ensure each child’s individual needs, interests, and strengths are supported throughout their developmental journey.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement early learning programs that support children’s physical, cognitive, emotional, social, and creative development
Plan and maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing classroom environment
Observe, assess, and document children’s abilities, interests, and developmental progress
Communicate effectively with parents and team members regarding children’s progress and needs
Prepare and organize engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences
Maintain classroom equipment and assist with light housekeeping and meal-related duties
Build positive, collaborative relationships with colleagues and community service partners
Ensure daily activities align with play-based and exploration-focused learning principles

Requirements

Completion of an Early Childhood Educator Certificate/Diploma or an Education Assistant Program
Minimum of 1 year of experience working with children under 5 years old
Valid First Aid Certification
Strong oral and written communication skills
Good problem-solving, teamwork, and organizational abilities
Ability to prioritize tasks and remain focused in a busy childcare environment
Legal authorization to work in Canada (this position does not offer SINP or employer sponsorship)
