Applications are invited from interested and suitably qualified candidates for Driver At National Development Planning Commission.

JOB PURPOSE    To provide transportation services to officials on assignment and ensure maintenance of vehicles.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Convey assigned officials, goods and equipment to and from designated destinations
  2. Register the movement of vehicles
  3. Assist in the keeping and updating of records on all vehicles of NDPC
  4. Assist in the Investigation of vehicles involved in accidents as appropriate
  5. Conduct checks to ascertain the road worthiness of vehicles
  6. Assist in the examination of vehicles as and when necessary
  7. Dispatch official mails as appropriate
  8. Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Chief Driver, Transport Officer or Chief Manager

Qualification and Experience

  1. A minimum of a WASSCE Certificate
  2. A professional level qualification or certification in auto mechanics
  3. A valid driver license not below ‘C’ class with three (3) years post driving experience

Competencies in:

  1. Modern road regulations
  2. Communication and interpersonal skills
  3. Changing technology in transport management

  4. Evidence of good standing with academic and professional institution if profession is regulated by law
  5. Vision statement for Director positions only on how the applicant intends to respond to the constitutional mandate and mission of the Commission (2-4 pages long on A4-size paper)
