DRIVER AND VEHICLE LICENSING AUTHORITY MOTORCYCLE RIDING INSTRUCTOR COURSE

ADMISSION IN PROGRESS

The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) in collaboration with the National Vocational Training Institute (NVTI) is inviting applications from qualified persons to be trained and certified as Riding Instructors. Therefore, All trained and certified persons can expect to gain employment with Rider institutions and offer training to prospective riders.

Also, Training Schools in Ghana as instructors or can establish their own training

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Applicant must:

1. To begin with, Be at least 20 years of age and be of sound mind.
2. Then, Be a holder of a valid Category “A” Ghanaian Rider’s licence with not less than two years riding experience.
3. Also, Have a minimum of SHS certificate and demonstrate the ability to read and comprehend English Language and can communicate in any other Ghanaian language.
4. Moreover, Demonstrate the ability to ride defensively
5. Likewise, Have a good eyesight.
6. Afterwards, Pass a selection interview and all tests prescribed for certification and licensing
7. More so, Be a computer literate.
8. Finally, Have their own set of riding gear (Helmet (DOT/SNELL CERTIFIED), Jacket (PADDED), Gloves (FULL FINGER COVERING), BOOTS, KNEE GUARDS.

COURSE FEES

1. Application form-Ghe 50.00. (Non-refundable)
2. Training and certification – Ghe 1305.00. (See administrator for payment options).

The Course is administered over three weeks and on completion successful applicants will be attached to a registered riding schools for four (4) weeks and evaluated thereafter.

All persons admitted to the course will be expected to sit and pass examinations that will be conducted by the Licensing Authority. The examination consists of a theory, practical riding and practical teaching sessions.

Interested persons may obtain application forms from the Driver Training, Testing and Licensing Department, DVLA Head Office at digital address GL-079-8174, Jawaharlal Nehru Rd, Opposite Parks and Gardens at Cantonments-Accra. Admission is open.
