Dr Kwame Owusu Fordjour popularly known as Dr UN or in other words, Wyclef has revealed that Sarkodie, D-Black and the other awardees did not pay anything for the infamous award he presented to them.
Few days ago, Dr. Forjour awarded certain personalities in the country for their efforts in their various divisions and professions. Dr. Forjour claimed to be a representative of the United Nations (UN) but the United Nations (UN) later issued a report that they do not know him hence the whole initiative turned into being a fraud. This news has been trending for a while now and certain hidden facts about the awards are now being unraveled.
The awards was organized and held in Alisa Hotel at Accra on Friday, August 28, 2020.
Among the awardees were musicians, politicians, educationists, journalists and traditional rulers I.e the likes of Sarkodie, D Black, Berla Mundi and many others.
Following this incident that went viral, Ghanaian musician, Shatta Wale claimed that D-Black played a major role at the event and paid 5,000 Ghana Cedis while the others paid 1,000 Ghana Cedis.
Dr UN on phone with Nana Ama McBrown on UTV’s United Showbiz reacted to Shatta Wale’s claim and revealed that Sarkodie and D-Black did not pay any money to him for the award.
He proudly added that he would have used any amount paid to him through the award scheme to be part of a donation he wants to do at an orphanage home.
Aside defending his award scheme on the show, he said he did not have sponsors for the event, however, he disclosed that he has about ten International donors.
