With the COVID-19 pandemic hitting the world with a storm, Ghana over the weekend outnumbered the whole of West Africa with half a thousand infections. This is more than a tragedy that needs immediate attention.

The Ministry of Communications on Monday, April 13, 2020, launched the GH COVID-19 Tracker. The GH COVID 19 tracker application is available online. 

The tracker, a step forward in the fight against COVID-19 will help in contact-tracing, tips on the fight against the pandemic among others.

the COVID-19 Tracker app will allow you to self-report symptoms without needing to visit a healthcare facility and thereby aiding in social distancing.

Additionally, the tracker can also locate individuals who attend the same function as part of measuers towards the enhanced contact tracing exercise to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

The launch of GH COVID-19 Tracker was climaxed with musical performances from Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale, Kuami Eugene, Evangelist Diana Asamoah and the like.

    I don’t think this app can help in contact tracing. How will I know I’ve come into contact with a person with covid-19.
