Destination Canada Education Job Forum: Your Gateway to Teaching Careers in Canada

Registration for the IRCC’s Destination Canada Mobility Forum is now open for the 2024 virtual (online) job fair, which will take place on March 1 and 2, 2024.

Participation in the Destination Job Forum is free; however, there are limited spaces available, so registration is essential.

Eligible applicants register by filling out an application, including the NOC code for their line of work, and sending a resume in Canadian format.

If a participating Canadian firm believes the applicant’s profile fulfills their needs, they will contact them for an online interview.

If they are offered a job, these individuals can apply for a temporary work permit in Canada.

What is the Destination Canada Mobility Forum?

Every year, Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) holds the Destination Canada Mobility Forum, which will most likely take place in March 2024.

It teaches competent French-speaking or bilingual individuals about Canada’s various immigration processes and connects them with officials from cities, provinces, and territories.

The forum fosters communication between job seekers and Canadian companies seeking candidates for positions outside of Quebec.

The event will also include Francophone organizations dedicated to improving Francophone communities in Canada.

Details of Destination Canada Job Forum 2024

Destination Canada Education is the name of the 2024 career forum, which focuses on bilingual opportunities in education.

Destination Forum is aimed at job seekers and companies looking for early childhood educators, primary and secondary school teachers (kindergarten through grade 12), and French as a second language teachers.

In 2023, IRCC prioritized jobs in the information and Communications Technology (ICT) and Tourism-Hospitality-Culinary industries.

What will happen during the Job Forum?

Participating candidates will have the opportunity to communicate online with Canadian companies in the early childhood and education sectors.

The school boards, daycare centers, and language schools hiring at the event will contact candidates whose profiles meet the job posting requirements to set up chat or videoconference interviews.

Candidates will also have the opportunity to learn about the procedures involved in becoming accredited to practice as a primary or secondary school teacher or educator.

Exchanges with delegates from French-speaking communities, as well as from Canada’s provinces and territories, will be possible.

They will enlighten participants on Canadian towns, regions, educational systems, and specific immigration programs, as well as answer questions regarding French-speaking people living across the country (except Quebec).

Those seeking training might also learn about bridging programs in early childhood education.

In addition, participants will be able to attend conferences to learn about early childhood programs, French teaching, and the Canadian education system.

Who can take part in the Destination Mobility Forum?

To reiterate, participation is free; however, an IRCC invitation is required to attend the virtual exhibition.

It applies to both foreign citizens living abroad and those who are currently in Canada with a valid work or study permit.

This forum is exclusively for applicants who speak French or are bilingual (French and English) and who are looking for opportunities in Canada (other than Quebec).

They must be trained and experienced in early childhood education, primary or secondary school teaching, or teaching French as a second language.

Those in the IEC pool, Express Entry pool, or with a history of prior study or employment in Canada are also eligible to apply.
