Job Duties

In your role as a Data Security & Privacy Consultant, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Administer and configure the data security and privacy platform effectively.
• Integrate the platform into source code repositories and CI/CD pipelines.
• Partner with engineering teams to map data flows, including customer and employee information.
• Develop and maintain data classification models within the security platform.
• Champion a “privacy by design” and “security by design” approach in product development.
• Embed data security checks early in the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Create and enforce policies for data retention, archival, and secure deletion.
• Minimize sensitive data storage in non-production systems and logs.
• Collaborate with DevOps to ensure encryption and access control at every lifecycle stage.

Job Requirements

To qualify for this position, candidates should meet the following requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in data security, privacy engineering, or product security roles.
• Hands-on experience with data classification and privacy platforms integrated into engineering workflows.
• Strong technical skills with source code repositories, CI/CD pipelines, and scanning tools.
• Deep knowledge of data security practices, including classification, encryption, and access control.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and NIST Privacy Framework.
