Full Job Description

We need a Warehouse Mapper at our new Dartford Site. This person will be in charge of mapping items and locations and making sure the layout of the warehouse is efficient by keeping an eye on productivities, pick runs, and travel time. This is to make sure that health and safety rules are followed. The person in this role will report to the Planning Manager and help with different projects going on at the site.

Salary: £29,000.00

As the depot is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, you will have to work nights, weekends, and shifts if you want to get the job above.

Training for this position will take place at the Medway CDC until the Dartford Site opens for business in the spring of 2023.

Duties and obligations:

• Work for the Manager of Capacity and Planning.
• Make sure that every item and pallet is correctly mapped to its place so that it can be put away safely.
• Check the Pallet Racking regularly, including where the pallets are placed, and report any problems so that they can be fixed.
• Do different types of data analysis on the range, such as which items are picked the most, which items are often picked together, etc., to make sure that the layout, pick run, and key productivity factors are as efficient as possible. To be shared with coworkers and the management team.
• Completion of Daily Capacity Reports, quarterly assessments of capacity, and updates to mapping.
• Mapping Board who owns the site.
• Work with the Operations team to make sure that mapping workshops are planned and held every month to find ways to improve things and make them happen.
• Attend weekly Stock & KPI meetings to make sure that high-damaged or missing items are reviewed from a mapping point of view and that any changes to the layout are made, tracked, and reported back.
• Help and lead Continuous Improvement projects on the job site using the Yellow Belt method.

Knowledge, skills, and traits:

• A good grasp of the English language, including reading comprehension, speaking and writing skills, and good people skills.
• Thinks ahead, works well in a team and is focused on and driven by success.
• Ability to look at raw data and ask questions about it.
• Ability to work on your own, meet strict deadlines, and put work in order of importance.
• Excel skills are at an intermediate level.
• Ability to work under pressure and the ability to change how you do things.
• Health and safety are important to them.
• SQL knowledge would be helpful, but it is not required.
