Job Title: Creative Designer
JOB SUMMARY
We at Continent Tours see Creative Designing as visual storytelling that engages, informs and inspires. We are seeking to hire a full-time, Talented, Creative and energetic Designer in our Accra office.
The ideal candidate must have expert knowledge of current design software and be skilled from conceptualization to final delivery. Collaborating with the marketing team, the designer must be able to translate thoughts, verbal and written ideas into designs that connect. An advanced knowledge of branding and marketing in the right style and layout is an advantage.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Brainstorm, Collaborate and strategize with product and marketing teams on a wide range of materials that may include web pages, presentations, programming collateral, signage, internal communications, newsletters, and marketing materials.
- Translate strategic direction into high-quality designs within an established brand identity by the utilization of trend intelligence and knowledge of historical and current markets when designing and executing specific classifications.
- Develop concepts as wire-frames and mock-ups by hand and with software, and execute original content by determining the ideal usage of color, text, font style, imagery, and layout
- Manage the design and uploading process for all project materials, based on best practices for using a content management system.
REQUIREMENTS
- Working knowledge of CSS3, HTML5, and JavaScript
- Knowledge of WordPress and content management systems
- Photography experience and proficiency with photo-editing software
- Professional with design software, including Illustrator, InDesign,
- Photoshop, Premier, Canva, CorelDraw and Dreamweaver.
- Some experience in professional Graphic Design and video editing with a Tourism oriented entity or Marketing Agency preferred
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Creativity and innovative design skills with organizational and time management skills while remaining deadline-driven in a fast-paced environment
- Desire to continue building skill set with education and training
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Art or related discipline
- Experience Level: Mid to Senior
- Experience Years: Minimum 5
