An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Content Creator & Digital Marketer to join Waya, an innovative cross-border and remittance Fintech Company.
WAYA Limited provides digital payment solutions across Ghana, Nigeria, and Kenya and is currently geared to expand its operations to several other African countries. In this pursuit, we are seeking to hire a full-time Content Creator & Digital Marketer as we grow our business. Essentially we are looking for that social media superstar who gets creative with tools like Canva, PicsArt, or VivaVideo; eats Facebook for breakfast, sleeps at Twitter, and has Instagram for brunch.
Creating engaging and effective marketing content.
Developing content using Canva or PicsArt or VivaVideo or any other graphical content creation tools.
Utilizing Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and any other social media channel required to push content.
Maintaining several different social media accounts.
Utilizing tools like Buffer or Hootsuite to manage posts.
Conducting social media audits to ensure best practices are being used.
Coordinating with the sales team to create marketing campaigns.
Preparing creative briefs for graphic designers to develop into content for digital platforms.
Preparing emails to send out to customers.
Responding to customer queries on all Waya related platforms.
Monitoring key online marketing metrics to track success.
Ensuring that the brand message is consistent.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EXPERTISE
Must have at least two (2) years of professional experience creating content and running digital marketing campaigns (Previous experience in a similar role is preferred)
Must have user accounts on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter (accounts must be at least 4 years old)
Must have at least a Facebook friend list of 2,000; an Instagram following of 1,000 and a Twitter following of 500.
Must be an excellent writer and communicator of the English language (French language skills would be an asset.)
Must be a coachable person
Must have past experience building audiences either online or offline
Must be a creative thinker with the ability to use data to inform all decisions.
Must be an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, relatively unstructured remote work
Proficiency in blogging & using other viral marketing trends in order to generate traffic, convert likes & followers into users is plus
Conversant with digital marketing platforms (Facebook Ads, Google Ads, etc.) is a plus
Good team working ability while being able to make decisions on your own is a plus
Must have verifiable professional experience and skill as a digital marketer and a content creator.
Having a degree or HND in marketing or graphic design is a plus but not a strict requirement.
Must be able to use any of the popular content creation tools/software.
