Use thermal imaging cameras, clamp meters, and multimeters to diagnose and fix electrical issues.
Work alongside architects, engineers, and site supervisors to complete key projects like Birmingham City Hospital upgrades and HS2 stations on time.
Understand schematics and CAD drawings for complex construction tasks.
Follow Health and Safety Executive (HSE) guidelines and the regulations outlined in the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) 2015.
Complete method statements and risk assessments (RAMS).
Implement energy-efficient systems like heat pumps and LED lighting to meet the UK’s net-zero targets.

Requirements

Relevant electrical certification (e.g., City & Guilds 2365, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent).
Must have an 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification or be willing to obtain it within three months.
At least two years of post-qualification experience in industrial or construction electrical work.
A portfolio of previously completed projects (industrial, commercial, or residential) is essential.
