Position: Senior Structural Engineer
Job Description
- Position Reports to Managing Director
- Direct Reports: Civil Engineers, Structural Engineers, Trainees
- Authorized to liaise with: Clients, Subcontractors, regulatory bodies, local communities, others necessary to achieve contract objectives
Job Role
The purpose of this role is to plan and direct all aspects of engineering activities and projects within the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects
- Monitor and inspect works
- Provide technical advice on projects
- Select appropriate construction materials
- Perform cost calculations and prepare financial projections.
- Preparing work schedules in collaboration with the project manager.
- Supervise every phase of the project to ensure that the construction projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Document processes and keep detailed construction logs.
- Present construction project progress updates to clients and Management
- Manage and supervise civil and structural engineers
Job Location
The office is located at East Legon and Construction site in Northern Region.
Required Skills or Experience
- Minimum Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- Member of a Professional Body.
- Minimum seven (7) years’ experience
- Sound understanding of engineering principles.
- Ability to provide leadership
- Project and budget management skills
