Job Description
Voltic (GH) Limited has a great job opening for Local Category Special. Voltic (GH) Limited is known for making the best-selling expensive water brand in Ghana. This has been the case for over 20 years. Voltic (GH) Limited has now added Value-Added Dairies to its list of products. The Procurement Manager is directly in charge of this job.
The Local Category Specialist is in charge of making sure that CCBA Procurement contracts that are carefully sourced for different categories are put into action, carried out, and followed.
Important Duties and Tasks
- The Local Category Specialist works with the CCBA Procurement Category Teams to support the development and implementation of category practices for all assigned categories and sub-categories, as well as the management of supply risk.
- The Local Category Specialist is the main point of contact between the CCBA Procurement Category Teams and the related business functions and any other Internal Stakeholder.
- The Local Category Specialist is in charge of all master data and system compliance connected to the category, and he or she owns it.
- Stakeholder alignment: executes CCBA Procurement Strategically Sourced Contracts in the country, leads contract execution, and drives contract compliance.
- Do Country/Regional Sourcing Events
- Help with important sourcing projects and the handling of a few key suppliers
- Manage connections with local customers on the inside
- Manage the connections with suppliers for Categories
Skills, Work Experience, and Education Requirements
- Higher National Diploma in Procurement/Logistics or equivalent is the minimum qualification.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or a related area is a plus. Certification from CIPS.
Experience
5 or more years of business experience, with at least 3 years in Tactical and Operational Purchasing in a Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) setting being a plus. Good understanding of Master Data Management and how it fits into the Procurement Lifecycle and how important it is.
Extra Experiences:
Having a recognized qualification in purchasing would be a plus. Working in a foreign setting will be a plus, as will have a deep understanding of both strategic and operational procurement.
