Summary of Position

The clinical assistant nurse manager is responsible for assessing, organizing, coordinating, and assigning the provision of expert patient care. This role has direct control over the standard of care provided to patients. It can supervise patient care, provide education, search for resources at the departmental or unit level, and assign the appropriate tasks.

To oversee, assign, and assess nursing practice, the Clinical Assist Nurse Manager utilizes particular expertise. The BSN must be completed within three years after starting work. Remaining enrolled in an accredited nursing program for the full year following employment acceptance.
  • Healthcare providers with up-to-date CPR certification
  • Certification in ACLS, NALS, PALS, or TNCC may be required, depending on the facility or department.
  • One year from now, a specialized qualification is needed.
