China Agricultural University China Link Scholarship Program 2025
The China Agricultural University (CAU), in collaboration with the China Scholarship Council (CSC), has announced the launch of the 2025 China Link Scholarship Program aimed at overseas researchers. This initiative is designed to foster international collaboration and scholarly exchange among young researchers from China and around the globe.
The program offers complete financial support for short-term research opportunities and academic exchanges, providing participants with the chance to immerse themselves in China’s rich academic environment. Scholars will have the opportunity to engage with distinguished faculty, access cutting-edge resources, and collaborate on innovative research projects. Program Summary
The CAU-China Link Scholarship Program aims to support international undergraduate, master’s, and Ph.D. students, and faculty members who wish to participate in research or academic endeavours at Chinese universities, providing full funding that covers tuition waivers, housing, insurance, and a substantial monthly allowance.
The scholarship is available to two primary groups of scholars:
- General Scholar: Available for current undergraduate and master’s students.
- Senior Scholar: Available to doctoral students and academic staff.
Successful applicants are able to conduct research in China for a period ranging from 1 to 12 months and must begin their studies by August 31, 2026, at the latest. The program provides the option to carry out research in either Chinese or English; however, those selecting Chinese as their medium of instruction need to have a valid HSK Level-4 certificate.
Benefits of Scholarships
Chosen scholars will obtain an all-inclusive fully funded scholarship that includes:
- Exemption from tuition fees
- Complimentary housing on campus
- Extensive health insurance
- Monthly stipend: CNY 3,000 for undergraduate scholars (MS), CNY 3,500 for advanced scholars (PhD).
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the scholarship, candidates need to fulfill these criteria:
- Citizenship: Hold citizenship in a nation other than the People’s Republic of China.
- Well-being: Maintain strong physical and mental well-being.
- Age Restriction: Below 45 years of age for general students (undergraduate/master’s level) and Below 50 years of age for senior scholars (Ph.D. candidates/faculty members)
- University Affiliation: Must be presently registered as a full-time student or working as full-time academic personnel at a foreign university that collaborates with CSC.
- Admission Verification: Should have obtained an acceptance notification or an invitation letter from a host university in China.
How to Apply
Application Deadline
The final date to submit applications for the 2025 China Link Scholarship Program at China Agricultural University is May 31, 2025, for those intending to start their research from July 2025 to January 2026. For individuals beginning between February and August 2026, the deadline is December 31, 2025.
