For immigrants, good news! In Saskatchewan and Ontario, 400,000 new jobs have been created. With this addition, Canada’s unemployment rate rose to 5.7%. The sectors with the most open positions in Canada were manufacturing, retail trade, STEM, healthcare, and hospitality. Payroll employment has increased most significantly in the healthcare, hospitality, and retail trade sectors.

The following factors, according to StatCan, are taken into account when recording a work role as vacant: present-day specific employment role. Within 30 days, work for the specified position could begin. Immigrant employees are being actively sought by employers to fill the roles with immediate effect. The sectors with the most open positions in Canada include manufacturing, retail trade, healthcare, hospitality, STEM, and education.

  • Payroll increases for new employees
  • Increases in the total value of the goods and services produced

These are encouraging signals for people looking to immigrate to Canada.
