Job Requirements

To qualify for this position, you should ideally have:

• A minimum of six months of experience in building maintenance, custodial work, or groundskeeping.
• The ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

• Proficiency in speaking and writing English.
• Physical capability to lift to 50 pounds.
• Legal authorization to work in Canada, free from criminal or infectious disease history.
• A clean driving record and a valid driver’s license.
• A flexible schedule to accommodate on-call weekend work.

Job Responsibilities

As a Building Caretaker, your duties will include:

• Cleaning and disinfecting communal areas, including hallways, exits, and waiting rooms.
• Vacuuming or washing floors, elevators, corridors, staircases, and windows.
• Maintaining gardens, landscaped areas, sidewalks, and parking lots.
• Performing routine tasks such as shoveling snow, trimming, weeding, and planting as needed.
• Assisting construction services, including builders and contractors, with minor maintenance tasks.
• Addressing inquiries, complaints, or concerns from residents promptly.
• Focusing on resident well-being and community preservation, while suggesting viable alternatives.
• Undertaking additional responsibilities as assigned by the Support Supervisor.
