About the Fellowship
Camargo has hosted over 1,500 fellows since its founding in 1971. The Foundation intentionally builds a collective spirit among each cohort. Fellows work independently while exchanging ideas throughout the residency. This marks the program’s last chance for public applicants directly.
What Fellows Receive
Fellows receive a €350 weekly stipend across the full residency. Furnished accommodation on Camargo’s Cassis campus comes included. Basic transportation to and from Cassis is also covered. Spouses and children over six may accompany fellows during their stay.
Who Can Apply
Applicants should be established or mid-career artists, scholars, or thinkers. Professional translators and interdisciplinary teams of up to three may apply. The programme welcomes diverse backgrounds, disciplines, and countries of origin. Only one application per eligible person is permitted.
Required Materials
Applicants should review the official guidelines before starting their submission. The completed application goes through Camargo’s online Submittable platform. Details on required documents appear directly within the guidelines.
