BREAKING|| Level 200 KNUST student allegedly murdered by a friend
We did not hear good news Today, April 24, 2022, from Sewua in the Ashanti region. A level 200 of KNUST has been allegedly murdered. The student killed is a Biological Sciences student. The dead student is said to have approached his friend to settle his debt. However, for the sake of not paying the debt, his friend deceived him. According to reports, the perpetrator has been arrested by the police. The alleged murderer’s name is Emmanuel Boateng and he is 25 years old. But, the deceased, Kwaku Adu Gyamfi is only 22 years old.
The police in Feyiase got information that a body was found lying at Sewua close to a bush. This was around 5 pm on April 22, 2022, the Ashanti Regional Police Public Relations Officer confirmed.
Mr. Godwin Ahianyo, the Ashanti Regional Police PRO added that the police together with the assembly member of the area went to the scene. At the scene, they saw a young man in blue and red attire lying dead on the ground.
He also said that after a body inspection, they found out that the neck of the dead had swollen, and also blood had oozed from his nose. They later found out that the stick that was used to hit the deceased was a few meters away from the body.
INITIAL INVESTIGATION CONDUCTED
Investigations conducted so far show that the alleged killer was seen with the deceased on that particular day. Kwaku Adu Gyamfi the deceased had a visit from Emmanuel Boateng at his house. Afterward, both of them went out however, Kwaku never returned back to his house.

Also, according to the Ashanti Regional PRO, the alleged murderer disclosed that he owed the deceased. And Kwaku Adu Gyamfi was pressuring him to pay so that he can settle his academic fees.
In order not to settle the debt, Emmanuel Boateng deceived Kwaku to the bush near Sewua. Under the excuse of showing Kwaku the project, his mother has been up to.
According to the police, the suspect hit the deceased with a stick after asking him to sit and wait for him to return from attending a nature’s call. He later run away with the deceased iPhone 11 pro max device.
The police have retrieved the phone from Emmanuel’s room and have subsequently put Kwaku’s body in the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital morgue.
