How to Apply
Applications Timeline
The enrollment cycle for the Mestrado Completo and Doutorado Completo programs starts with Brazilian higher education institutions announcing openings from July 4 to July 31, 2025. CAPES will publish the official list of vacancies on August 13, 2025, after which candidates can apply from August 14 to September 29, 2025. Selection by HEIs will occur from September 30 to October 23, 2025, followed by final approval and document review by November 13, 2025. Results will be announced on November 14, 2025, with studies commencing in the first half of 2026.
For the Sandwich Doctorate program, HEIs will announce vacancies from July 4 to July 31, 2025. CAPES will release the list of vacancies on September 30, and applicants can apply from October 1 to December 30, 2025. Selection will take place from January 5 to March 27, 2026, with final approval by April 24, 2026, and results published on April 30, 2026. Programs will begin in August 2026.
