The criminal investigation department on Tuesday, May 19th, 2020 arrested for suspect Bishop Daniel Obinim, Head Pastor of international God’s Way Chuch.
Bishop Daniel Obinim was arrested on a warrant of arrest issued by cour. He has been charged with the offence of publication of force news and forgery of document contrary to section 208 and 159 of the Criminal and other offences Act, 1960 (ACT 29) respectively.
The suspect is also under investigation for other offences levelled against him.
Bishop Obinim was sent to the magistrate court, Accra and has been granted bail in the sum of One Hundred Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHc100,000.00) with three (3) Sureties, one person to be justified and to reappear before court on June 1, 2020.
The CID administration, however, entreats the public to disregard the video circulating on social media on the arrest of Bishop Daniel Obinim. The video has no relative with the suspect’s arrest on Tuesday, May 19, 2020.
