Role Overview

As a Finance Officer/Accountant, you will oversee critical financial functions including transaction processing, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting. You will serve as a key contributor to our financial health, ensuring all accounting activities align with established principles and organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable and receivable
Prepare accurate monthly financial statements and management reports
Develop and monitor organizational budgets while analyzing variances
Process payroll and ensure timely statutory remittances
Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and perform monthly reconciliations
Coordinate with external auditors during annual reviews and compliance audits
Implement and maintain effective internal control procedures
Monitor cash flow positions and manage banking relationships
Ensure strict adherence to tax regulations and financial reporting standards
Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings

Qualifications and Experience

Required:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles
Demonstrated proficiency with accounting software solutions
Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations
Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail

Preferred:

Professional accounting certification (CA, ACCA, CIMA)
Experience with financial modeling and analysis
Advanced Excel skills and system implementation experience
