Position Summary 

This position is a full-time, on-site job in Accra for a Reservations Agent. The Reservations Agent will handle phone reservations, address customer inquiries, and deliver outstanding customer service. Daily responsibilities involve handling phone calls, managing bookings, aiding with customer inquiries, and fulfilling receptionist tasks when required.

Duties:

  • Helping and guiding clients who might be selecting from different travel choices.
  • Booking reservations for clients according to their diverse needs and financial constraints.
  • Verifying the availability of lodging or transport on the customers’ preferred travel dates.
  • Assisting in creating travel plans by recommending local sights and points of interest.
  • Handling payments and providing customers with confirmation information.
  • Resolving any problems that could occur with bookings or reservations.
  • Marketing and advertising booking services.
  • Responding to any inquiries customers may have regarding the booking procedure.
  • When suitable, up-selling involves notifying customers about extra services or special packages, like tour tickets, travel insurance, or enhanced seats/accommodations.
  • Offering assistance to clients who may wish to modify or cancel a booking.

Requirements

  • Excellent Phone Etiquette and the capacity to manage Reservations effectively
  • Outstanding Customer Support and Communication abilities
  • Familiarity with Receptionist Responsibilities
  • Outstanding organizational abilities and focus on detail
  • The capability to thrive in a high-pressure setting and manage stress efficiently.
  • Skill in office software and booking systems is an advantage.
  • A diploma (upper class) from an accredited university.
  • 3 years of professional experience in a customer service position or the hospitality sector.
