Australian Research Council Future Fellowships 2026

The Australian Research Council (ARC) Future Fellowships 2026 are designed to support mid-career researchers who are ready to take the next step in advancing their academic careers. Open to scholars across STEM as well as the Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences (HASS), the program provides a platform to lead innovative projects that address critical global challenges.

With funding ranging from AUD $766,904 to $1,329,808 over four years, the fellowship offers substantial financial support. This ensures that researchers have the resources and stability they need to pursue ambitious projects, expand their research teams, and achieve long-term impact.

Beyond funding, the ARC Future Fellowships emphasize the importance of building global networks and collaborations. Fellows are encouraged to strengthen international partnerships, positioning themselves and their institutions as leaders in cutting-edge research and innovation.

By combining financial security with opportunities for collaboration and recognition, this fellowship empowers researchers to produce work that not only advances their fields but also contributes meaningfully to society on a worldwide scale.

Sponsorship Proposal

The ARC Future Fellowships offer four (04) years of continuous funding on a full-time basis, with options for part-time arrangements (up to eight years). Fellows receive competitive funding aimed at covering salaries, research initiatives, and expenses related to projects. The initiative is designed to improve Australia’s research and innovation capabilities while producing economic, social, cultural, and environmental advantages.
