Scholarship Details

  • Scholarship Title: Human Rights Scholarship
  • Education Level: Master’s by Research or Doctorate (PhD)

  • Scholarship Amount: Maximum of $94,200
  • Length: A maximum of 2 years (Master by Research) and a maximum of 3.5 years (Doctoral research).

Scholarship Benefits

  • Yearly living stipend of $43,500 (2025 full-time education rate), adjusted for inflation and encompassing paid sick, maternity, and parental leave.
  • Complete tuition fee coverage: Up to 2 years (Master’s), and up to 4 years (Doctorate)
  • Relocation assistance: $2,000 (from a different Australian state/territory), and $3,000 (from abroad)
  • International Students’ Overseas Health Cover (OSHC).

Eligibility Requirements

To submit your application, you need to:

  • Be in the process of applying for or currently registered in a graduate research program (Masters or PhD) focused on Human Rights.
  • Not have obtained a qualification at the same or greater research level.
  • Have not previously been awarded a graduate research scholarship.
  • Show a solid academic foundation, enthusiasm for human rights, and applicable volunteer or professional experience.
