Trowunna is a privately owned wildlife park in Tasmania, Australia, near Mole Creek. We are searching for motivated and hard-working people to join our team as wildlife keepers. The park is home to many wild animals, such as wallabies, elephants, Tasmanian devils, and birds.
Job Title: Australia Animal Care & Zoo Jobs 2025
As a park wildlife keeper, you’ll care for the animals daily. This includes creating their habitats, monitoring their health, feeding them, and cleaning their enclosures. You will also have a major effect on how people learn about animals and why it is important to protect nature. You do not have to have experience with animals, although it is better if you do.
Duties of Australia Animal Care & Zoo Jobs 2025
- First, you will feed, clean, and watch over the animals every day to ensure they are healthy.
- Second, you will ensure that the animals’ homes are clean and safe.
- Third, you will watch how the animals act and tell the supervisor if you see anything weird or if they seem sick.
- You will also provide talks and presentations to guests to teach them how to conserve animals and the environment.
- Also, you will provide the animals things to do and help them learn.
- Last but not least, you will go to public events and training sessions when you need to.
- Lastly, you will help with other jobs as needed.
Requirements for Australia Animal Care & Zoo Jobs 2025
- First and foremost, you need to really care about saving animals and wildlife.
- Second, you need to have worked with animals before.
- Third, you need to be proficient at talking to other people.
- You also need to be able to work on your own and with others.
- You also need to be in excellent shape and able to work outside in any kind of weather.
- Furthermore, you need to have a first aid certificate that is still valid.
- Last but not least, you must be willing to work on weekends, holidays, and during school breaks.
