POSITION: Finance and Operations Manager (F&O)
Job Description:
The Finance and Operations Manager (F&O) will report to the Divisional Finance Manager and be largely responsible for Aurum Institute Ghana’s overall financial and operational management. The F&O will also be responsible for internal and external stakeholder engagement with Aurum colleagues, the organization’s funder donors, and other stakeholders.
Technical Job Responsibilities
- Maintaining robust internal controls
- Ensure accurate postings in accounting software.
- Month-end closing process
- Production of management accounts
- Prepare year-end accounts for annual audit.
- Collaboration with Auditors for Statutory Audit
- Production of funder reports
- Budget preparations
- Ensure that statutory filings are completed on time.
- Occasionally, random reports may emerge from management and donors.
Qualification
- A qualified accountant (ICA, ACCA, CIMA, and CPA)
Advantageous
- Certificate of Project Management
Experience
- At least 5 years of post-qualification experience.
- Experience managing donor-funded projects’ finances
- Experience managing internal and external stakeholders, and reviewing project plans and work plans.
Requirements
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Proficient personal computer skills, particularly in the Microsoft Office suite.
- If necessary, travel by land or air for minimal/moderate overnight periods (up to 10%).
- Willing to work overtime when necessary.
- Proven experience working in a fast-paced, complicated, and dynamic environment.
