Ghanaian rapper, Asem has sent a message to fellow rising rapper Amerado on the “YeeteNsem” series by Amerado.
Fast-rising rapper Amerado has recently brought up a series dubbed “YeeteNsem” which has received attention and great reactions from the public. Amerado in the series, gives a coverage and summary of all trending news of the week in rap music. His consistency in rhyming and craft, being able to rap in every series no matter the kind of news really amazes Ghanaians. This new initiative by Amerado has received great support.
It is to this that rapper Asem has come all out in a video on his Instagram page expressing displeasure in what Amerado is doing. Asem is saying in this video that he is going to sue Amerado for stealing his invention and not acknowledging him for that.
Asem stated he made the video because he has already cautioned Amerado in writing but the young rapper has turned a blind eye to his caution and went ahead to drop the series.
According to Asem, “YeeteNsem” is his intellectual property because he created it and all he demands is respect and honor for his invention to which he sees nothing is wrong with it but the young rapper is not cooperating.
To him, Amerado should have come to seek for his blessings because customs and traditions matter.
Asem warned his fellow rapper in the video that he is going to sue him because he owns everything he is doing. To Asem, by heeding to the copyright laws on intellectual property, he owns 60% of every money Amerado makes. He added that the name YeeteNsem is even a derivative of his name Asem.
