Asem has categorically stated that Kwami Eugene so much deserves the artiste of the year award given to him during the 2020 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
Kwami Eugene was declared winner of the artiste of the year category ahead of great personalities like Sarkodie and Kofi Kinata, Medikal and Diana Hamilton. This sparked lots of talks about as people claimed the “Open Gate” singer does not deserve the award. Well, Asem strongly disagrees with them. He explained why Kwami Eugene deserves the award in a two minutes video he posted on his official Instagram page. According to him, the Lynx Entertainment signee merits the artiste of the year award because he has worked very hard.
He further congratulating the organizers of the show for a good work done. He commended Vodafone and Chatter House for serving us with a great and successful show. He was very quick cleared the air that he is not commending Kwami Eugene because he was once a lynx Entertainment signee but he is just stating facts. He expressed his admiration for the young talent as he called him a gem and an African star. After praising the Rockstar, he acknowledged the good works of Kidi and King Promise as well. He said they are amazing.
Asem said that the singers and the dancehall artistes are doing well. He appeared to be very satisfied with how the singers and the dancehall artiste are contributing to the Ghanaian music industry. However, he seemed to have a little problem with the rap scene therefore he urged the rappers to step up their game.
