Asante Kotoko signs Brazilian midfielder Fabio Gama for two years

Ghanaian soccer giants, Kumasi Asante Kotoko have completed the signing of Brazilian midfielder Fabio Gama ahead of the Ghana Premier league next month.

The 28-year-old footballer joined the Porcupine Warriors on a free transfer and on an two-year deal.

This news was announced by Asante Kotoko on their Twitter handle.

They wrote on Twitter with a flier of Fabio Gama with the following caption “ Asante Kotoko is delighted to announce the acquisition of Brazil international midfielder Fabio Dos Santos Gama”

Fabio Gama becomes an astonishing 10th player to sign for the two-time African champions ahead of their participation in the CAF Champions League and the 2020-21 Ghana Premier League.

Fabio Gama has been without a club since leaving Swedish Jönköpings Södra IF in March this year.

Gama, previously on the books of Swedish side Suprettan side Jonkoping IF as well as Varnamo, ABC FC, SE GAMA, EC Bahia and Botafogo, must fend off competition from recruit Latif Anabila, Emmanuel Sarkod and Salifu Mudasiru.

According to the Porcupine warriors, Gama is a former Brazilian youth international who has featured for their U-17 and U-20 teams.

Kotoko have already acquired several players including Kwame Opoku, Razak Abalora, Yusif Mubarik, Emmanuel Keyekeh, Abdul Latif Anabila, Patrick Asmah, Emmanuel Sarkodie, Evans Adomako Wiredu and Andrews Apau.
