About the Role

As an Arborist at Treescape, you will play a crucial role in land clearing and residential work. This hands-on position allows you to spend your days outdoors, working directly with trees and plants. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining and enhancing green spaces throughout Auckland.

Job Duties

In this role, your primary responsibilities will include:

Conducting land clearing and managing residential tree work.
Using chainsaws, pole saws, and brushwood chippers safely and effectively.
Identifying tree and shrub species to ensure proper care and maintenance.
Communicating clearly with team members and clients to coordinate tasks.
Leading a crew and supervising work to ensure safety and efficiency.
Participating in ongoing training and development to enhance skills.

Job Requirements

To qualify for this position, candidates should meet the following requirements:

Hold a Level 3 NZQA Arborist qualification or equivalent experience.
Possess a full Class 1 driver’s license (Class 2 is beneficial).
Have a current first-aid certificate (preferred).
Demonstrate experience with chainsaws and other tree maintenance equipment.
Exhibit strong communication skills and a background in arboriculture.
Knowledge of tree and shrub identification is advantageous.
