AirtelTigo Insurance: How to Subscribe and all you need to know

The AirtelTigo Insurance is an insurance cover for all subscribers of AirtelTigo who are between the ages of 18-65. The policy caters for 2 events. They are Death and Hospitalisation. The subscriber of AirtelTigo Insurance will receive a cash payment for any of these events depending on the amount of airtime used during the month. The airtime used becomes the contribution of the subscriber.

TYPES OF COVER UNDER THE AIRTELTIGO INSURANCE PACKAGE

1. Firstly, MATERNITY COVER:

This policy pays the claim of a pregnant woman in labor who has been admitted to the hospital for at least 6 days. The claim she gets depends on the contribution she has made. Under this cover, there is the Max cover and family cover.

The Max cover insures you as a subscriber. With this, you pay a monthly premium of GHC 2.00 which is deducted on a monthly basis or daily basis based on your decision. The family cover on the other hand ensures the subscriber and an additional family member. The monthly premium for this is GHC 4.00

2. Secondly, Hospital Cash:

This Insurance cover gives the subscriber his or her claims based on the number of nights spent there. Normally it should be 3 nights and above. The claim provided is based on the contribution made by the subscriber.

3. Also, Life cover:

A subscriber of this policy can have their claims paid to them while alive.

4. Another is Accidental or disability cover:

A subscriber who gets disabled after being involved in an accident can make a claim and this claim is also given based on the contributions made by the subscriber.

HOW TO SUBSCRIBE TO AIRTELTIGO INSURANCE

  • Dial *580# and send.
  • Take a moment, some options will be displayed on your screen
  • Choose the option you prefer from the list.
  • Press send and wait for your confirmation.

HOW TO MAKE CLAIMS ON YOUR AIRTELTIGO INSURANCE

  • Call 580 to make a claim. When you Dial 580, a customer service agent will attend to you.
  • Payment of claim will be made within 72 hours of receipt. You will need to provide the necessary documents in order to receive your claim. The money will be paid to the mobile wallet of the subscriber of the AirtelTigo Insurance policy.
