The Regional Head in West Africa at AGRA, CA Global Africa’s client is responsible for managing oversight of the organizations regional Operating plans, budgets, teams, and partnerships .
Regional Head Responsibilities:
The performance of this Regional Head will be assessed on the basis of the achievements made on:
- Design, execution and delivery of AGRA business plans in the portfolio of regional countries
- Country government relations and policy development
- Resource Mobilization and management across the Countries within the region
- Optimization of Country operations & processes for efficiency, effectiveness, Equity and Environment across the region
- Strong people management and development across the region and delivery of annual regional goals in support of institutional priorities.
- Effective Management of the budgets for the regional team
- Leads the development & supervision of country/regional strategy.
- Leads the successful and timely implementation of country business plans.
- Identifies & manages key strategic stakeholders to leverage and partner with for catalytic impacts.
- Builds, coaches and manages of a team of 8-12 professionals in a matrixed reporting environment in Ghana, Burkina, Mali & Nigeria’s programmatic and operational functions.

- Mentors the regional teams in the development and institutionalization of tracking metrics and success criteria.
- Supervises Regional staff to ensure execution and delivery of specific objectives.
- Builds the alliance by engaging with senior stakeholders and high-ranking government officials.
- Influences stakeholders to adopt or contribute to AGRAs theory of change.
- Advise the VP, Program Innovation & Delivery on key challenges and opportunities for delivery and execution of the AGRA strategy.
- Represents AGRA at external events in the region.

- Inspires and grows teamwork, learning and collaboration among the team to raise overall team contributions and performance.
- Achieves talent development of existing staff, hiring new staff as necessary and manages team dynamics of the team to ensure a high-performance & collaborative team.
- Directs and provides coaching to relevant technical and administrative staff.
- Creates and implements the operating budget for the countries within the region.
- Creates and presents analytical performance reports to inform decision making at Country, Region and Institution.

Requirements: Qualification and Skill
- PHD/ Masters or equivalent qualification in a relevant field
- Specialized qualifications in the field of evaluation such as accreditation through globally or regionally recognized evaluation professional associations.
- Minimum of 15 years experience with 8 years experience in implementing and managing multi country strategies and business plans in agriculture or economic development space.
- A working knowledge in English and French will be an advantage.
