A reputable educational institution near Kwabenya, Comet requires the services of the following: Admissions/Communications Officer
JOB SUMMARY
You are responsible for creating communications content on behalf of an organization. You will do everything from write press releases to develop blog content and create social media posts. You will also determine student applicants’ admissibility to the University. Evaluates transcripts and assigns students to appropriate academic units. Advises potential students on admission requirements and options, transfer/articulation, and related issues.
RESPONSIBILITIES at Educational Institution
- Develop, write and edit marketing and communications materials, including press releases, blog posts and social media content
- Promote communications and marketing materials through appropriate social channels
- Track analytics and create reports detailing successes and failures of communications campaigns
- Ensure that all communications and marketing material aligns with brand standards
- Maintain digital media archives including photos and videos
- Work with communications team members to conceptualize and implement communications strategies and campaigns
- Respond to media inquiries and perform media outreach to achieve brand placement in publications
- Develop escalation protocols for managing communication crises, should they arise
- Advises students and families regarding educational opportunities and options, admission and other requirements, policies and procedures, transfer of credit, and financial assistance, as appropriate.
- Contributes to the institutional database of prospective/potential and current students in the state.
- Analyzes trends in student recruitment and retention programs; designs and implements recruitment programs for targeted groups of potential students, and develops strategies for program evaluation.
- Creates and distributes a range of resource and promotional materials designed for the recruitment and retention of targeted groups.
- Prepares reports and proposals, and responds to inquiries from students and external agencies.
- Develops operating goals and objectives for the unit; implements and administers methods and procedures to enhance operations, as appropriate to the unit.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
