Applications are open for the ACEP Media Fellowship on Fiscal Accountability and Anti-Corruption. This is the program’s third cohort in Ghana. It trains journalists to report on public finance with greater depth. Fellows learn to build accountability stories using real budget data.

About the Fellowship

This fellowship strengthens media coverage of public finance and governance issues. It targets journalists who currently cover, or want to cover, the economy. Participants learn to develop evidence-based stories from official records. Sources include government budgets, procurement records, audit findings, and public data.

What Fellows Receive

Selected journalists access hands-on, practical training over two intensive days. They learn to investigate and communicate fiscal issues more effectively. Fellows also complete a mandatory budget output during the program. This builds direct experience turning public data into compelling stories.

Who Can Apply

Applicants must be practising journalists, editors, or content producers currently. They should work across print, broadcast, or online media platforms. Candidates must currently cover, or seek to cover, public finance topics. Applicants must also commute to the training venue in Accra.

Required Materials
